Hopeful of ‘major sweep’ across state, says BJP after ULB, panchayat poll review

JAMMU: The BJP's national vice-president Avinash Rai Khanna said on Friday that the party will sweep the forthcoming panchayat and urban local bodies polls in Jammu and Kashmir.

Khanna also hailed the enthusiasm shown by the BJP leaders and the candidates for the polls.

He said with the continuous commitment and perseverance for the good work, the BJP will sweep the polls, making a history in the state by marking its presence on all the three fronts that is from Panchayat to Parliament.

Khanna chaired multiple meetings at Kathua, Samba and Jammu districts.

State BJP president Ravinder Raina (MLA), MP (Lok Sabha) Jugal Kishore Sharma, MP (Rajya Sabha) Shamsher Singh Manhas, former deputy chief minister Kavinder Gupta also addressed the meetings attended by MLAs, MLCs, district office bearers, senior leaders and the BJP candidates for the polls.
