4 youths drown in Gomti river during Ganesh immersion

Lucknow, Sep 20: Four youths drowned in Gomti river in the Uttar Pradesh capital during Ganesh idol immersion.
The incident occurred under Hasanganj police station area of the state capital on Wednesday night when the youths were attending the Ganesh idol immersion.
NDRF team were pressed into service to recover the bodies. Local people staged a demonstration against the authorities for not making adequate arrangements for the immersion.
Local BJP MLA Neeraj Bora rushed to the spot to pacify people.
Police sources here said that the bodies of two youths have been fished out.
While the bodies of Vishal(17) and Raja(20) have been recovered, Narendra(17) and Rahul(20) were yet to be traced.
