Sensitization for Measles-Rubella campaign in full swung in Srinagar

SRINAGAR: In order to make the Measles-Rubella vaccination a grand success in Srinagar, sensitization programme about the campaign in the district is in full swing.

Chief Medical Officer Srinagar, Talat Jabeen, said sensitization programme about the vaccination campaign is underway across the district involving partaking by District Task Force officials including experts from Health, WHO and UNICEF. Education and other concerned departments are also part of sensitization efforts in schools across the district.

All line departments, educational institutions, and Social Welfare and ICDS departments besides other stakeholders and organizations are extending full support within their respective areas to make the campaign successful.

Pertinently, the vaccination campaign would start from September 1 and will continue for six weeks during which 4, 69,300 children between 9 months and 15 years of age will be immunized.

The vaccination programme will be held at all schools, Anganwadi centres, orphanages and religious places across the Srinagar district.
