JAMMU: Col (retired) M L Sethi, the younger brother of veteran politician Comrade K D Sethi, passed away this morning in Dinjan in Dibrugarh district of Assam.
According to family sources, Col Sethi (76) had gone to meet his son Colonel Kapil Sethi, in Dinjan where he is presently posted.
“This morning at around 10.00 AM, he suddenly collapsed at his son’s place. His cremation shall also take place at Dinjan tomorrow at 10.00 AM,” informed Achal Sethi, the son of Comrade Sethi.
Col Sethi, the youngest among his siblings Comrade Sethi, the lone surviving member of J&K Constituent Assembly and late Justice R P Sethi, is survived by his son Col Kapil Sethi and daughter Smita Sethi, KAS, presently Administrator Associated Hospitals, daughter-in-law, son-in-law and grand-children.
To mourn his sad demise and pay tributes to the departed soul, a condolence meeting will be held on July 23, 2018 at Sainik Colony at 4.00 PM.
