BJD stages walkout in LS, says No-Trust debate will be fruitless

New Delhi, July 20: Staging a surprise at the beginning of the debate on No Confidence Motion, the Biju Janata Dal on Friday said the discussion and voting will be 'fruitless' and therefore the party will not participate in the day's proceedings in the Lok Sabha.
Making the announcement, BJD leader Bhartruhari Mahtab said,' For last 14 years -- 10 years of UPA and four of the NDA -- there has been injustice to the people of Odisha and even today's discussion will not be fruitful for the state, therefore we are staging walk-out.'
The motion was later moved by TDP member K Srinivas but the debate was initiated by his party colleague Jayadev Galla.
