10 godowns destroyed in fire at Mumbra

Thane, Jun 21: At least ten godowns near Rahimiyah Masjid on Khardi road in Mumbra of the district were totally destroyed in a major fire at wee hours on Thursday.
The godowns housed tyres and clothes and other materials which were destroyed in the fire which spread to the adjoining area in which three two-wheelers were also charred, Chief of RDMC of the Thane Municipal Corporation (TMC), Santosh Kadam said.
Three fire engines rushed to the spot to fight the fire.
The cause of the fire is being probed. There was no casualty due to the fire he added.
