Grenade lobbed on SFs

SRINAGAR: Even as a three-tier security was in place in view of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, terrorists on Saturday carried out an audacious attack on security forces, even though there was no loss reported.

“Terrorists lobbed a grenade on the joint party of CRPF and police at Muran Chowk in south Kashmir’s Pulwama district,” official sources said.

However, as the luck would have, the grenade did not explode.

Police confirmed the incident, informing that Bomb Disposal Squad reached the spot and the device was defused.

He added that the area was cordoned off and a hunt was on to nab the attackers.
