Simi Garewal to be honored with Lifetime Achievement Award

Mumbai, Apr20: Actress and talk show hostess Simi Garewal will be honored with "Lifetime Achievement Award" by the prestigious Dadasaheb Phalke Excellence Award 2018 for her immense contribution to the Indian cinema.

According to a statement here on Friday, Dadasaheb Phalke Excellence Awards has partnered with Smile Foundation to present the coveted awards for the second year in a row.

The Award ceremony will be held on April 21, 2018, at St Andrews Stadium, Bandra. Besides honoring individuals for their exceptional performances and contribution to Indian Cinema, the awards, in association with Smile Foundation’s She Can Fly initiative, will also focus on bringing attention to the pay gaps that affect women in the industry and raise awareness towards importance of Nutrition for every girl child.

Actress Simi Garewal is known for her work in the films 'Do Badan' opposite Manoj Kumar, 'Mera Naam Joker' opposite Raj Kapoor, Siddhartha Shashi Kapoor and other movies.
