Mamata to inaugurate industrial meet in Darjeeling today

Darjeeling, Mar 13 : West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee will inaugurate a two-day industrial meet here on Tuesday.
The inauguration ceremony will take place at 1400 hours. There will be sessions from 1100 to 1500 ours on the second day.
Ms Banerjee will be present on both the days. Finance Minister Dr Amit Mitra will also be present at the meet.
This is for the first time that such a meeting will take place in the Hills. The meet is aimed at promoting industries and developing the Darjeeling Hills as an industrial hub.
According to government officials, the Hills have immense potential in the eco-friendly sectors of IT, tourism, horticulture, agro industries, medicinal plants, food processing and education.
