Women toil harder at a brick kiln, while the whole world celebrated International women's day with zest and zeal. Women celebrated the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women all around the world but still some women's are indulged with a contemporary form of slavery where they are not paid well and often exploited.

Women workers day start at 5 am and isn't likely to end before 7 pm, with no toilet in the premises makes it even harder for them to sneak in the fields and answer the call of nature.

As the brick industry is one of the unorganized industries in India, the women working at such brick kilns are invisible laborers, with no labour records. The women workers are under paid and often exploited.

Many of women workers are forced to live with no to little access to medical facilities and lack of food.

No leave, no weekly rest and even no maternity benefits. Their children grow up amid dust and smoke, making it impossible for them to attain a healthy lifestyle.

This is probably the story behind every working woman, tainted with bonded labour - a contemporary form of slavery.
