‘Local support possible’

When asked about local support to terrorists or the involvement of Rohingyas- the Myanmar migrants, Sitharaman did not rule out any such possibility.
"The JeM module which conducted the attack may have infiltrated sometime back and possibly enjoyed local support.
"The demography of the cantonment and adjoining areas indicate the possibility of local support to the terrorists and an alert had been sounded on the likelihood of an attack by the terrorists around this period," she said, adding that Army will share the evidences with Jammu and Kashmir Police and they will investigate it further.
She also said that local residents raising structures adjoining to peripheries for walls of military establishments is an issue which "we will see into it for possible solutions."
