Srinagar, Jan 21 : Two-way light vehicular traffic continued on the Srinagar-Jammu national highway, connecting Kashmir with rest of the country, though heavy vehicles will ply only from one-way.

Hundreds of vehicles, including those carrying essentials besides passengers, left Jammu for Kashmir this morning as only one-way heavy vehicular traffic will continue on the highway.

Meanwhile, Razdan pass, connecting border town of Gurez with district headquarters, besides historic Mughal road remained closed due to accumulation of snow and slippery road condition.

The 434-km-long Leh-Srinagar national highway, linking the Ladakh region with Kashmir, also remained closed.

“We have allowed light vehicular traffic from both sides on 300-km-long Srinagar-Jammu national highway,” a traffic official told TNN.
