Foreign skier killed, another missing in snow avalanche in Gulmarg
Srinagar, Jan 18 : A skier from Sweden was killed and another missing after a snow avalanche hit upper reaches in world famous ski resort of Gulmarg.
Official sources told TNN that two skiers went missing after a snow avalanche hit near second phase of Gandola on Affarwat peak, connected with Cable Car from base camp.
Search and rescue teams were rushed to the area to trace the missing skiers.
However, the body of one of the skier, identified as Daniel, a Swedish national, was recovered from under several feet of snow.
They said rescue team is on the job to rescue another trapped skier.
