Decomposed body of Malyalam actor found in Goa

Panaji, Jan 17 : A decomposed body, identified as that of a Malyalam actor, was recovered from the Anjuna Beach in North Goa on January 12 last, according to police.
Speaking to TNN on Wednesday, Anjuna Police Station Incharge Police Inspector Chetan L Patil said the corpse was identified by the family members of the actor, whose name was disclosed as Sidhu Pillai from Kerala.
''The deceased had travelled to Goa on January 5 and was staying at Calangute in North Goa with his uncle who is doing some business at the beach. On January 10 in night, he took a raft, went alone to the sea and did not return.
He appeared to be disturbed and might have committed suicide,'' Mr Patil said.
The body was handed over to the family members of the deceased after post-mortem examination and viscera was preserved.
A case of unnatural death was registered and further investigation was underway, police said.
