BJP lauds GOI for commencing construction of bunkers in Jammu region

Jammu, Dec 16: J&K BJP state president & MLA, Sat Sharma on Friday expressed gratitude towards the humanly approach taken by the Government of India (GOI)for commencement of the process regarding construction of bunkers for the inhabitants of International Border (IB) and Line of Control (LoC) in districts of Jammu region.
Sat Sharma appreciated the decision of Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh for approving construction of bunkers to protect the border people from shelling and firing by Pakistani troops in Jammu, Samba, Kathua, Rajouri and Poonch districts.

He said that the commencement of construction for 13029 individual and 1431 community bunkers having capacity of eight members for individual bunkers and of 40 persons for community bunkers out of 19000 individual and 4700 community bunkers announced by Union Home Minister, Rajnath Singh during his earlier visit to the state is a big relief for the border inhabitants.
Sat also lauded the role of Union MoS Dr Jitendra Singh for his incessant and fruitful effort in taking up the issue with Ministry of Home Affairs promptly for the protection of border dwelling people from mischievous acts of Pakistan.
He added that the construction of bunkers was a long due and genuine demand which was continuously supported and taken up by State BJP and today it has been made feasible by the imminent concern of our worthy Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who is deeply concerned with the plights of common masses.

He said that the nationalistic population dwelling in these areas have braved continuous shelling of the hostile neighbour but did not let their spirit down which shows their commitment and love for the motherland and BJP fully stands by their side.
Recalling the incident of gruesome pounding of Indian villages in May this year, he also welcomed the decision of reimbursement of entire compensation made to the victims of cross border shelling under the NDRF norms by the State Government for the crops, livestock etc.
