Jammu: The residents of different parts of district Rajouri have been suffering from acute shortage of man power in Adhaar card centres made by district administration owing to that they are facing many hardships in getting their adhar cards on given time period. Rejection of adhar card forms is the main problem which is being faced by the people of different centres. And the shortage of man power in those centres also irks locals owing to that long dates are being given to them.At the end, they get nothing instead of rejections or given more months to wait for their turn.

"Aadhar card centres in different parts of district Rajouri are working at a snail's pace. Everyday people queue up before the lone centre set up for the purpose and return in the evenings to their remote areas unsuccessful. It has become a misery for the people of this border belt. The Aadhar preparation must be taken on war footing basis involving extra staff with more counters to achieve it within stipulated time", said Mr.Iqbal Shawl, renowned academician.

"I have applied for my adhar card three months before and submitted all the formalities required for the same but after doing so many queries, I got rejection from their side because the operator got blacklisted.it's a totally wastage of time. The district administration must take corrective measures in this regard and provide adequate manpower to overcome from this issue", said a local applicant.

According to the official information as per Rajouri BME (NPR Phase-ll) Coverage Report as on 30/11/17, the population of the district has been recorded as 6,37,263 in which a total of 583493 population have been digitalized which covers 92.01% and 84.25% of adhar has been generated with respect to total population till now.

Talking exclusively to The News Now, Mr.Mohd.Azam, District Statistics And Evaluation Officer, Rajouri said that 13 BMEs centres have been made in different parts of the Rajouri district out of which only 10 are functional and the rest three are non functional due to non availability of adequate staff member." We are managing our 10 centres with only one staff member in each centre. Though, fifteen operators have been blacklisted and the IDs of two staff members have been inactive for the last one month. However,we are trying to manage our work with the existing man power until we get adequate staff and also trying to resolve their (public) issues on priority basis",he added.

"We are trying to resolve and cover maximum population through our existing man power and in this regard we have already demanded to our state incharge for providing us adequate staff atleast two members for each center so that we can clear the remaining population as soon as possible",quoted Mr.Azam.
