Cluster universities Jammu, Srinagar get 13 deans

JAMMU: In order to ensure smooth functioning of Cluster Universities of Jammu and Srinagar, the state government on Wednesday ordered for deputation of as many as 13 officers as deans of various disciplines in both these newly established varsities, shifting them from different colleges and departments of university of Jammu and University of Srinagar
As per the official order released in regard of Cluster University Jammu, Dr. Poonam Dhawan, former DDA University of Jammu, has been posted as Dean Academic Affairs, Dr. Geetanjali Andotra Rana, Incharge Principal of Government College for Women, Parade, Jammu as Dean Research Studies, Dr. Twinkle Suri, Associate Professor (English) at MAM College, Jammu as Dean Faculty of Arts, Dr. S P Sharma, currently attached with Cluster University as Dean Faculty of Sciences, Dr. N K Gupta, Principal, GDC, Hiranagar as Dean Faculty of Social Sciences, Dr. Bhopinder Gupta, Associate Professor, GCET, Jammu as Dean Faculty of Engineering & Technology and Dr. Mushtaq Ahmad Lone, Principal, GDC, Poonch as Dean faculty of Education.

Meanwhile, the state government also approved deputation of six officers as deans of various disciplines in Cluster University Srinagar.
Dr. M Y Peerzada Principal, GDC Boys, Anantnag has been posted as Dean Academic Affairs, Dr. Maqsooda Khan, Principal, IASE Srinagar is posted as Dean Sciences , Dr. M A Baba, attached with Cluster University Srinagar as Dean School of Engineering & Technology, Dr. G M Tibet Baqal, Director Colleges (HED) as Dean School of Social Sciences, Dr. Nasreen Malik, Incharge principal Bagi-Dilawar Khan Srinagar as Dean School of Humanities, while Dr. Yasmeen Kawoos Principal, GDC Bemina has been posted as Dean Institute of Advanced Studies in Education.

The tenure of all these Deans will be for a period of two years.
