Shopkeeper held for selling liquor
Rajouri police has arrested a shopkeeper for selling liquor illegally in Agrati village.
A specific information was received by police that a shopkeeper is illegally selling liquor from his shop and locals of the area, especially youth, after consuming alcohol, create disturbance in the area.
Acting in this, a police team headed by Incharge Police Post Chingus, SI Fareed Ahmed under the supervision of DySP HQrs Jaswant Singh raided the shop.
Shopkeeper identified as
Ved Prakash son of Jagdish Raj resident of Agrati has been arrested and 40 pouches of liquor have been seized from shop.
A case under Excise Act has been registered by police.
