Bhaderwah Police organizes T-20 Cricket Tournament for Girls

Bhaderwah Oct16:-Under ongoing Civic Action Progra-mmes J&K Police channelizing the energy of the youth and providing platform to the budding players,, Bhaderwah Police today organised a girls T-20 Cricket Tournament at Govt Higher Secondary School boys ground, here today.6 cricket teams involving more than 60 players drawn from different parts of Bhaderwah sub district participated in the tournament and the tournament was on knock out basis. ASP Bhaderwah Rajinder Singh while speaking on the opening ceremony of the tournament has said that in addition to their bounden duties, J&K Police is also fulfilling its social responsibilities for overall development of the society. He also said that endeavour of J&K Police is to provide the platform to the youth to display their talent so as to channelize their energy .Additional Deputy Commissioner Bhaderwah Imam Din was the chief guest on the opening ceremony. While speaking on the occasion he lauded the role of J&K Police in fighting militancy and dealing with crime and law and order across the state. He also eulogized the role of Bhaderwah Police for organizing different sports and cultural events besides tackling crime, law and order effectively and good liaison with the general populace of the sub district.SDPO Bhaderwah Brijesh Sharma also spoke on the occasion and wished best of luck to the participating teams and also wished that he wanted to see the girls players play at National and International level. Large number of local residents drawn from all walks of life attended the opening ceremony. Prominent among others who attended opening ceremony included Commanding Officer 4 RR Col D D Panday , Chief Executive Officer BDA Bal Krishan ,Xen PWD Bhaderwah Er Bashir Ahmed Khanday , DFO Bhaderwah Viveak Verma , SHO Muneer Khan , and other senior citizens present in the occasion
