Tarigami survives heart attack; stable in hospital

SRINAGAR: Communist Party of India (Marxist) State Secretary and Member Legislative Assembly (MLA) from Kulgam constituency, Mohammad Yousuf Tarigami was on Sunday taken to SKIMS hospital in Srinagar after he suffered a heart block.
Doctors at the premier hospital said he faced multiple problems during last night at his Srinagar residence and was rushed to Sher-I-Kashmir Institute of Medical Sciences (SKIMS).
After series of tests, it was established that he was suffering from heart block, the institute authorities said.
The authorities said Tarigami was suffering from heart block and that led them to implant a pace maker. They were planning another heart surgery on Tarigami on Monday.
