25 kg heroin seized from truck carrying goods from Pak-administered Kashmir

Baramulla, July 21: Police in Jammu and Kashmir on Friday recovered a huge consignment of heroin hidden in boxes from a truck coming from Pakistan-administered Kashmir as part of cross-LoC trade, said an official.
He said the consignment weighing 25 kg was hidden in boxes purportedly to contain mercantile goods.
The driver of the truck, identified as Syed Yousuf, has been arrested. The estimated cost of the heroin is worth crores of rupees in international market.
