SLSA constitutes Core Group to reach out to Thathri cloudburst victims

DODA, JULY 21: Under the directions of Executive Chairman State Legal Services Authority (SLSA), Justice Mohammad Yaqoob Mir, Chairman District Legal Services Authority Bhaderwah (Principal District and Sessions Judge), today directed for constituting a Core Group to help Thathri cloud burst victims.
It was said that the Core Group will be headed by Judicial Officer in terms of “Scheme for Legal Services to Disaster Victims through Legal Services Authorities” to coordinate with the district administration for timely evacuation of the Cloud Burst victims to the temporary shelter camp (relief camp) opened in the Doda district.
The Group will also ensure smooth distribution of relief materials to the victims and assess the damages caused to the life and property of the victims so that the cases for disbursement of relief are processed expeditiously by the district administration.
It will also open Temporary Legal Aid Clinics in the Relief Camp manned by Para Legal Volunteers to hear the grievances of the victims and forward the same to the district administration for their redressal.
