RSS for debate on minority status to Hindus in J&K

Jammu: Hindus seeking Minority status in Jammu and Kashmir for a long got support from RSS on the final day of Sangh’s 3-day-long historic Akhil Bhartiya Pracharak Sammelan in Jammu.
The national incharge of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh’s media affairs, Dr Manmohan Vaidya said, “We support this demand of J&K Hindus and I think this issue needs to be debated at different forums.”
Giving a strong message against spurt in militancy activities in Kashmir, (RSS) asserted that terrorism should be dealt with stern hands.
Addressing media men here after the conclusion of the three-day-long Akhil Bhartiya Pracharak Sammelan (National Executive Committee Meeting) at Ved Mandir, RSS National incharge of Media Affairs, Dr Vaidhya said that situation in both Kashmir and Bengal is disturbing. “Terrorism should be dealt with stern hands,” he said.
Asked about Sangh’s stand on rising number of immigrants from Myanmar (Rohingyas) settling in Jammu, Dr Vaidya said, “I think the need of the hour is to identify and separate these refugees because their presence is a matter of security concern.”
The RSS leader preferred silence over Chinese incursion and standoff at Sikkim border despite the fact that this issue remained on top of RSS’s agenda during its National Executive Committee Meeting in Jammu.
On Kashmiri Pandit (KP) organization, Panun Kashmir seeking RSS’s viewpoint on abrogation of Article 370, Dr Vaidya said, “If the KP body is willing to know our stand, I think, their leadership should approach us.”
“RSS doesn’t support any kind of violence,” the RSS leader said when a media person sought to know about the organization’s stand on cow vigilantes taking law into their hands.
He also spoke about RSS Chief’s name in UPA’s terror blacklist. Dr Vaidya said that such issues should not be politicized.
RSS also welcomed the victory of Ram Nath Kovind as President of India. When asked what was the Sangh’s role to bring Kovind to the highest constitutional chair in the country, Dr Manmohan Vaidhya said that he is BJP’s choice and but obvious RSS’s choice too.
Earlier, elaborating the points discussed during the 3-day long meeting at Ved Mandir complex in Jammu in which around 200 RSS Prant Pracharaks participted, Dr Vaidhya said that RSS has given stress to end the caste based discrimination in the country.
He added that declining water level in the country and opening of 1000 new ‘Gau Shalas’ (Cow Sheds) across the country also remained among the important points in the meetings.
