J&K Panchayat polls: National Conference core group meets to review political situation

Srinagar, Feb 27 : Ahead of the upcoming panchayat polls in Jammu and Kashmir, the core group of the main opposition National Conference met today to review the political situation in the state.
'The core group of the @JKNC_ meets in Srinagar to review the present situation, including political situation in the state,' NC working president and former chief minister Omar Abdullah wrote on micro-blogging site Twitter.
The recent controversial statements of NC president Farooq Abdullah, meanwhile, evoked sharp reaction from mainstream political parties, particularly Peoples Democratic Party-Bharatiya Janata Party coalition government in the state.
The separatists also criticised Dr Farooq Abdullah and described him as chameleon who changes his statement when in power and outside.
