JKP seized 1500 ltr kerosene

RAMBAN, Feb 27: Jammu and Kashmir Police (JKP) Banihal on the direction of Sub Divisional Police Officer (SDPO) Banihal Dheeraj Singh Katoch was on patrolling duty at Sheerbibi area of Banihal tehsil distric Ramban, today.
According to the police officials the police department has received an information from reliable sources that one Mushtaq Ahmed son of Ghulam Nabi of Thachi Amkote has dumped number of barrels full of kerosene oil in his shop at Sherbibi for illegal sale to the drivers on National Highway.
On this information police party raided the said store and on seeing the police party said Mushtaq Ahmed fled away from the spot. During the search of shop about 1500 litre of kerosene oil recovered and seized.
In this regard case under FIR No 21/17 section 3/7 EC Act registered and investigation taken up. The whole operation was done Sub Inspector Shamim Ahmed which was supervised by SDPO Banihal Dheeraj Singh Katoch and overall supervision and guidance of Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Ramban Mohan Lal.
