UPSC CSE 2023: GD Goenka Alumna Anmol Rathore secures 7th rank, ten more in list

J&K native dedicates success to teachers, parents, vows to serve UT with dedication

Jammu: Anmol Rathore, an alumna of GD Goenka Public School Jammu, brings laurels to J&K, securing AIR 7 in the UPSC CSE 2023.
Among others, ten more candidates from Jammu and Kashmir also made it to the coveted list.
These include Arjun Gupta securing Rank 32, Manan Bhat Rank 88, and Harnit Singh Sudan Rank 177, Mohammad Haris Mir Rank 345, Mohammad Farhan Seh Rank 369, Aparajita Aryan Rank 381, Ghulam Maya Din Rank 388, Suvarn Sharma Rank 412, Seerat Baji Rank 516, and Dinash Kumar Rank 1003.
The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) announced the results for the Civil Services 2023 examination on Tuesday on the official websites – upsconline.nic.in and upsc.gov.in.
This year, Aditya Srivastava clinched the first position with AIR 1, followed by Animesh Pradhan securing AIR 2, and Donuru Ananya Reddy at AIR 3. As many as 1,016 candidates have cleared the Civil Services Exam 2023.
Anmol Rathore dedicates her success to her teachers and parents, expressing her commitment to working for the welfare of the people of the Union Territory.
Originally from Udrana Village, Bhaderwah, Anmol completed her early education in Kishtwar before her family relocated to Jammu. She pursued her schooling at GD Goenka Public School in Jammu and later obtained a BA LLB honours degree from Gujarat National Law University in 2021.
Reflecting on her journey, Anmol credits her parents and teachers as her primary sources of motivation. She expressed a longstanding desire to achieve success that would make her parents proud, drawing inspiration from civil servants. Anmol commenced her preparations for civil services in 2021, maintaining unwavering dedication since then.
Despite facing time constraints due to her commitments, including securing the first rank in the Jammu and Kashmir Administrative Service exams, Anmol managed to devote three to four hours daily to her UPSC preparations. She relied on online courses for the preliminary examination, followed by rigorous practice through test series for the mains, and thorough mock tests for interviews.
Offering advice to aspiring candidates, Anmol emphasizes the importance of perseverance, resilience in the face of failure, and a strategy of revise-test-repeat. She also acknowledges the necessity of social sacrifice, having isolated herself from social media and minimized social engagements to focus on her goal.
Anmol Rathore's journey stands as a testament to diligence, determination, and the pivotal role of education institutions like GD Goenka Public School in shaping future leaders.
