Lok Sabha Polls 2024: Sonia Gandhi, Rahul, Khargeamong 28 star campaigners of Congress in J&K

SRINAGAR:Sonia Gandhi, Congress chief Mallikarjun Kharge, Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi Vadra have been named as star campaigners of the party among 28 others for Jammu and Kashmir which will vote in five phases in upcoming general elections.
Indian National Congress on Friday named as many as 28 leaders who will be campaigning for party candidates in the Union Territory for the upcoming general Lok Sabha elections in 2024.
Among the prominent figures spearheading the campaign for the Indian National Congress in the first and second phases of the elections is stalwarts like Indian National Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge, Sonia Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi, and Priyanka Gandhi Vadra. With their seasoned political acumen and charismatic appeal, they crisscrossed Jammu and Kashmir and bustling towns, addressing enthusiastic crowds and outlining the party's vision for the nation.
Accompanying them are other influential leaders such as Pawan Khera, T.S. Singh Deo, Ambika Soni, Raj Babbar, Sachin Pilot, and Harish Rawat, each lending their unique voice and perspective to the campaign. Together, they formed a formidable force, united in their commitment to upholding the values of democracy and inclusive governance.
Starting their campaign in Jammu, the party will then head to Srinagar, where they will continue to connect with voters and advocate for the Congress vision for a better India.
After a dynamic start in Jammu, the Congress campaign caravan sets its sights on Srinagar, the cultural and political hub of the Kashmir Valley. Sources said that the senior leaders will meet party leaders and workers and will discuss strategy on winning elections in Jammu and Kashmir.
However, it is interesting to note here that the Congress is only going to fight on 2 out of 5 seats in Jammu and Kashmir as they have backed up from putting their candidate from the Kashmir division.
Reports suggest that Congress is doing all it can to win a seat in Jammu as it has fielded Choudhary Lal Singh from Udhampur and Raman Balla from Jammu. It will be interesting to see how things unfold from the Congress party in Jammu.
