Says Army, BSF ready to thwart any infiltration attempt

SRINAGAR: In light of the impending Parliamentary elections, Border Security Forces (BSF) personnel, working alongside the Army on the Line of Control (LoC), have heightened their vigilance to counter any potential infiltration bids, Inspector General Border Security Force (BSF) (Kashmir Frontier), Ashok Yadav said Friday.
While talking to the media, Yadav emphasized their preparedness amidst the electoral season, affirming, "During this critical period, we stand ready to counter any infiltration endeavors. Our ongoing area domination exercises underscore our readiness."
Expanding on their operational strategy, Yadav disclosed, "Our approach involves comprehensive planning to assert control over targeted regions. We've meticulously crafted vulnerability maps, guiding our area domination exercises. With these measures in place, our forces possess the capability to thwart any infiltration endeavors."
Reiterating their commitment to ensuring smooth elections, Yadav asserted, "We will take all necessary measures to achieve this goal."
Expressing satisfaction with the level of preparedness, Yadav affirmed, "We are fully prepared to counter any infiltration attempt, given the significant deployment of our forces across the hinterland."
Acknowledging the heightened risk during pivotal events, Yadav stressed, "In anticipation of the upcoming Parliamentary elections, we have bolstered the security grid. There is a perpetual risk of heightened infiltration attempts during such crucial periods."
Yadav shed light on the vulnerability analysis undertaken, stating, "We have conducted a thorough vulnerability analysis, considering factors like the melting of snow, which may aid infiltration efforts."
Asked about the specific deployment of BSF in Kashmir, Yadav said, "We have dispatched sixty-five companies to the Kashmir valley, reinforcing the existing security infrastructure ahead of the elections in Central, South, and North Kashmir."
