The most awaited movie Ae Dil Hai Mushkil starring Ranbir Kapoor, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Anushka Sharma and Fawad Khan is getting us hooked to the KJo multi starrer with every passing day.
Right from finalising on the star cast to getting a release date for the movie, Team Ae Dil Hai Mushkil has fought a long battle, only to emerge victorious and hit the screens soon! Here's a lookback at what all went wrong before everything fell in place :
1. KRK confesses to being bribed by Karan Johar to tweet negative about Shivaay!
An audio recording surfaced online in which Kamaal Rashid Khan aka KRK has confessed to having been paid Rs 25 lakhs by Karan Johar to post negative tweets about Shivaay.
2. MNS issues a 'direct threat' stating they won't allow ADHM, Raees to release in Maharashtra
MNS made it clear that they not just want Pakistani actors to leave India but will also stall the release of Raees and Ae Dil Hai Mushkil in Maharashtra.
3. Indian film body IMPPA bans Pakistani artists until 'normalcy' returns
The Indian Motion Picture Producers Association put a ban on Pakistani actors and technicians from shooting in India, post the infamous Uri attacks, until situation becomes normal here. Political party MNS issued an ultimatum to all Pakistani artistes to leave the country.
4. Aishwarya's intimate scenes with Ranbir and her bold avatar didn't go down well with the Bachchans
Amitabh Bachchan has been very active on Twitter and he actively comes out in support of upcoming Bollywood movies every time. And when the teaser of ADHM was released, it went viral but speculations were rife that the Bachchans weren't happy with Aish's bold avatar. Amitabh Bachchan however claimed to having not seen the teaser when quizzed about the same.

5. Karan Johar decides to replace Fawad Khan with this actor!
Karan Johar faced the heat for his next release Ae Dil Hai Mushkil big time! Apart from the role change for characters played by Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Anushka Sharma, the makers are now also considering a replacement for Pakistani actor Fawad Khan.
6. Another setback came in when the CBFC chopped off love scenes from ADHM!
The hot intimate scenes between Ranbir and Aishwarya outraged the masses and that was followed by the presence of Pakistani actor Fawad Khan in the movie.
7. MNS firm on its decision to not allow Ae Dil hai Mushkil to release!
Karan Johar had released a video message recently which was his plea to Indians to allow his film to release. He had even mentioned that henceforth, he wouldn’t engage in working with talent from neighbouring country but Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) doesn’t seem to bother. The political party is firm on its decision and does not want his film Ae Dil Hai Mushkil to release which features Fawad Khan.
8. Raj Thackeray demands Rs.5 crore 'penance' to producers who have cast Pakistani artists
In a breather for filmmaker Karan Johar, the Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) on Saturday allowed the release of his forthcoming film "Ae Dil Hai Mushkil" -- but said all producers who employed Pakistani artists must pay Rs 5 crore each into the Indian Army's welfare fund as an atonement.
9. The kissing scenes done by Anushka Sharma, who plays the role of Alizeh, have been reduced by half.

10. Single Screen exhibitors refuse to screen Ae Dil Hai Mushkil
The single screen exhibitors of COEAI (Cinematograph Owners And Exhibitors Association of India) have decided to uphold their decision to not screen all films starring Pakistani artistes in the coming months, starting with Ae Dil Hai Mushkil.
After creating much buzz, finally the film and its maker Karan Johar have breathed a sigh of relief! KJo received a major breather after MNS lifted the ban on his film's release, letting him keep the October 28 release date.
