Man self immolates

Jammu: The lackadaisical attitude by the authorities of the Labour Commissioner has forced a young man to take extreme step in ending his life.
As per source, Kamal a resident of Ward number 5 in Arnia went to the Labour commissioner office on November 16 for preparing of his labour card.
However the staff at Labour commissioner office did not entertain his request. Dejected by the refusal from staff, the Kamal in bid to end his life, poured kerosene oil to immolate himself.
Kamal received severe burn injuries and he was rushed to Government Medical College Hospital in Jammu for the treatment.
However Kamal succumbed to injuries while undergoing treatment today.
Enraged over the death of Kamal, his family members and relatives held a protest against the doctors and Labour Commissioner staff for not letting Kamal to give a statement to police even when he remained in hospital for one week. They alleged that the doctors and Labour Commissioner officers were hand in glove with each other and are trying to hush up the matter.
