Budget 2022-23 Finance department seeks revised estimates today

Jammu: For formulation of revised estimates 2021-22 and budget estimates 2022-23, the finance department has given ultimatum to concerned administrative departments furnish the information by today.
As per notification issued today, the Accounts Officer(budget) finance department was directed to refer Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India OM No 04/08/2021-Bgt-I dated o2-09-2021 regarding the formulation of Revised Estimates 2021-22 and Budget Estimates 2022-23-regarding.
In this connection, concerned Administrative Departments are requested to furnish Revised Estimates 2021-22 and Budget Estimates 2022-23 against SRE (Police) & SRE(R&R) for adoption by MHA in their Demand as per the following devised format.
The notification added while furnishing the following aspects may be kept in mind while reviewing, firming up proposals for RE, BE Priorities, activities and schemes: identify such activity, scheme which can be eliminated, reduced in size, merged with any other. Scheme, activity; past experience of achieving targets (both physical and financial) and bottlenecks, if any, should be taken into account. In case of new/recent projects/schemes, the anticipated time to obtain final approval of the Competent Authority, expected time lag for implementation, institutional capacity to implement as per schedule, constraints on incurring expenditure by the agencies, should be duly factored in. Undertake thorough assessment of ground realities at field level to arrive at accurate projections in all cases.
The information may be furnished by or before September 22, by 2 PM sharp in the prescribed format the order said.
