Govt issues guidelines for deferment of Darbar move

Jammu: The Jammu and Kashmir administration on Tuesday issued guidelines for deferment of Darbar move in the backdrop of surge in COVID-19 cases across the Union Territory.

“The Offices at Civil Secretariat, Srinagar for Summer Session-2021 will formally open at Srinagar on May 10, 2021. There will be no closure of the Jammu Secretariat,” reads the order issued by Commissioner Secretary to government Manoj Kumar Dwivedi.

The order further reads that Civil Secretariat will continue to remain functional at both places and the Administrative Secretaries will ensure arrangements for smooth functioning of offices at both the places including Jammu and Srinagar,” the order reads.

The order further asked administrative secretaries to ensure their availability at both the places.

“The employees will work at Secretariat location allotted to them as per the orders to be issued by the General Administration Department in this regard,” the order reads.

“The full move offices of HoDs outside the Civil Secretariat will also continue to remain functional both at Jammu as well as Srinagar. Separate orders will be issued in this regard,” the order further reads.

“The offices of HoDs outside the Civil Secretariat which 'move in Camp' shall also continue to remain functional both at Jammu as well as Srinagar. Separate orders will be issued in this regard,” the order reads.

The order further reads that the Civil Secretariat Treasury and J&K Bank Moving Branch at Civil Secretariat will be functional at both the places within the Civil Secretariats.

The Finance Department has been asked toput in place a suitable mechanism for the purpose.

“The dispensary of the Civil Secretariat shall remain functional at both the places within the Civil Secretariat. The Health & Medical Education Department will put in place a suitable mechanism for the purpose,” the order reads.

“The Estates Department shall provide accommodation to the officials, as per requirement, only where necessary,” the order reads.
