Sensex falls over 100 pts

Mumbai, Jan 22: The BSE Sensex on Friday slipped by 103 pts at 49,521.52 as in opening trade as selling pressure was seen in Finance, Health Care and Bankex stocks.
The Nifty too declined by 15.55 pts to 14,574.80 pts. The Sensex registered intra days high and low at 49,663.74 and 49,361.22 pts respectively.
The Nifty registered intra days high and low at 14,612.50 and 14,518.45 respectively.
The Mid Cap rose by 0.58 pc and Small Cap by 0.39 pc. In 30 scrips 19 advanced and 11 declined.
The losers were Axis Bank by 1.78 pc to Rs 663.75, NTPC by 0.83 pc to Rs 95.35, HDFC Bank by 0.74 pc to Rs 1463, Tech Mahindra by 0.74 pc to Rs 996.38 and ICICI Bank by 0.66 pc to Rs 549.20.
The gainers were M& M by 2.16 pc to Rs 823.60, Maruti Suzuki by 1.73 pc to Rs 8212.30, Titan by 0.82 pc to Rs 1529 and Asian Paints by 0.79 pc to Rs 2736.
