Sensex breaches 44K level opens at 44,095.85 pts
Mumbai, Nov 17: BSE Sensex on Tuesday touched 44K level opened at 44,095.85, all-time high, advancing by 458 pts as buying was seen in Energy, Consumer Discretionary Goods and Services, Telecom stocks.
The Nifty of National Stock Exchange too rose by 93.60 pts to 12,873.85
The Sensex registered intra days high and low at 44,161.16 and 43,851.37 pts respectively.
The Nifty registered intra days high and low at 12,934.95 and 12,838.10 respectively.
The Mid Cap moved up by 0.64 and small cup by 0.35 pc respectively.
In 30 scrips 21 advanced while 9 declined.
The gainers were SBI by 3.16 pc to Rs 236.90, IndusInd Bank by 2.96 pc to Rs 792.95, HDFC Bank 2.90 pc to 1409.40, L & T by 1.86 pc to Rs 1078.85 and Maruti Suzuki by 1.77 pc to Rs 6975.
The losers were HCL Technologies by 1.33 pc to Rs 819.70, Infosys by 1.01 pc to Rs 1122.05, Bajaj Auto by 0.96 pc to Rs 3011.05 and Tech Mahindra by 0.91 pc to Rs 832.55.
