Panthers Party demand reorganization of J&K, but not separate Jammu

Jammu: Jammu and Kashmir National Panthers Party said that the party wants reorganisation of Jammu and Kashmir but not the separate Jammu.

“J&K National Panthers Party in its three-day national convention held in 2008 resolved to mobilize the public opinion in Jammu and Kashmir and persuade Parliament that J&K should be reorganized with two provincial governments and assemblies so that each province shall have its permanent Secretariat for the whole year in Srinagar and Jammu," party’s Chief Patron Prof Bhim Singh here said.

He said that at present, Secretariat in summer functions at Srinagar and moves to Jammu in winter for six months and after the reorganization, this movement of shifting and re-shifting the Secretariat will come to an end and the residents of both provinces shall also find it easy to visit the Secretariat whether in Jammu or Kashmir province.
