nCoV: Kejriwal condoles demise of senior LNJP Hospital doctor

New Delhi, Jun 29: Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Monday condoled the demise of Dr
Aseem Gupta, a senior doctor of LNJP Hospital, who died due to COVID-19 here.

In a tweet, Mr Kejriwal said, 'Dr Aseem Gupta, a senior doctor of LNJP Hospital succumbed to Covid yday. He was known for going out of his way to serve his patients. We have lost a very valuable fighter. Delhi salutes his spirit and sacrifice. I just spoke to his wife and offered my condolences and support.'

In another tweet, Mr Kejriwal said, 'LNJP Hospital has displayed great fortitude in the face of acute challenges. It's recovery rate is going up, death rate is reducing, ICU capacity is being ramped up - the hospital is saving so many lives.'

The senior doctor from Lok Nayak Jayaprakash Narayan Hospital (LNJP), who managed to save the lives of many people from Novel Coronavirus, on Sunday lost his own battle against the lethal virus.

The Hospital sources said here that the deceased was posted as an Anesthesia specialist in the ICU ward of COVID-19 management.

On June 9, after being infected with the deadly disease, the doctor was admitted for treatment at Saket Max Hospital in South Delhi, where succumbed on Sunday Morning.
