55 Kanal prime land retrieved

VIJAYPUR: In a two-hour-long anti-encroachment drive, the district administration Samba retrieved a prime land measuring 55 Kanal and 5 Marla near Anand farms, Vijaypur, adjoining National Highway 44, with dismantling of 3 BHK house, servant quarters and boundary walls.
Deputy Commissioner, Samba Rohit Khajuria along with Senior Superintended of Police, Shakti Pathak supervised the complete retrieval and dismantling process in which 4 JCB machines were pressed into service to remove the encroachment.
It was informed that the land situated in village Pekhri, tehsil Vijaypur, bearing khasra number 250, 252, 256 and 257 measuring 11 kanal, 10 marla, 5 kanal, 16 kanal and 22 kanal respectively was illegally occupied by some miscreants.
