Social Welfare Dept: JKSSB reduces Supervisor vacancies from 201 to 186

Number of posts in Jammu district down from 15 to 8

Srinagar: Five months after advertising notification for filling vacancies from the Social Welfare Department, the Jammu and Kashmir Service Selection Board (JKSSB) on Tuesday from 201 to 186.
On 8th December 2023, the Jammu and Kashmir Service Selection Board invited online application forms from eligible female candidates to participate in the selection process for the posts. The number of posts received by the Jammu and Kashmir Service Selection Board was 201.
The board had issued the syllabus in this regard as well.
The J&K Services Selection Board, on the basis of an indent from the Social Welfare Department, has advertised 201 District Cadre Posts of Supervisors, vide Notification No. 02 of 2023 dated 08.12.2023. The SWD has now conveyed change in the available posts in respect of various categories/cadres already advertised and against 201 posts so advertised, the department has revised the number of posts as 186, reads a new notification issued by the Jammu and Kashmir Service Selection Board.
In light of the aforementioned facts, the number of posts of Supervisor, advertised vide Notification No. 02 of 2023 dated 08.12.2023, shall now be read as 186, it added.
The number of supervisor posts for Kupwara (20), Kathua (13), Baramulla (16), Rajouri (14), Poonch (9), Reasi (10), Kishtwar (11), Anantnag (12), Bandipora (6), Shopian (5), Ramban (4), and Udhampur (6) has been kept same (20).
The number of supervisor posts for Jammu district has been reduced from 15 to 8, 12 to 8 in Samba, and 8 to 7 in Ganderbal. The number of posts in Pulwama has been increased from 8 to 10, 11 to 12 in Kulgam, and 8 to 10 in Doda.
The other terms and conditions in respect of the above posts shall remain the same as notified vide Advertisement Notification No. 02, the notification reads.
