JKAS officer allegedly grabbed 24 kanal land in Chowadhi area of Greater Kailash

Officer refutes allegations, says matter subjudiced; under CB investigation

Amid hue and cry over the Greater Kailash murder case which took place over land dispute issue, another has surfaced in the same area where a 24 kanal piece of land has allegedly been grabbed by a JKAS officer. One Ramnik Singh S/o Late S. Harbans Singh R/o Bhour Camp, Ward No. 1 Tehsil Jammu South District Jammu raised issue on land grabbing by a senior JKAS officer namely Rakesh Kumar Dubey at Chowadhi Greater Kailash Jammu.
He said that his father and uncle were allotted 24 kanals of land under the provisions of 254 -C in Khasra number 21&85 in Village Chowadhi Greater Kailash Jammu.
He said that the possession of the said land was given to them on the spot and entries were made in the revenue records by the then commissioner's order. He said that the land in question has been declared State Land under the Big landed abolition act and retrieved from the original owners and then allotted to their family under the provisions of 254 -C.
He further said that some locals of the area including the family members of Rakesh Kumar Dubey JKAS tried to forcibly encroach upon their legally a.
llotted land and started harassing their father. He said that due to the harassment, their father went into depression and later on died.
“Rakesh Kumar Dubey JKAS who is a family member of these local mafia during his tenure as ACG Jammu by misusing his official position in connivance with Naib Tehsildar Mohd Saleem and then Tehsildar manipulated the record and also created some fake and frivolous documents.We have made several complaints before Revenue authorities, Police, Crime Branch Jammu, Anti-Corruption Jammu but all the complaints are without any result, the reason of delay is well known to these investigation agencies and revenue authorities.”
Meanwhile, Rakesh Kumar Dubey JKAS Officer when contacted has something else to say. He even refuted the allegation raised against him.
He said that Ramnik Singh is a convict in NDPS with prisoner ID:- 11464 admission date 2010: He said that he is dragging his name as the land in question was purchased by his Grandfather Late Magar Mal Ji vide mutation no. 139 of 1943.
“The matter is sub-judice and is being investigated by the premier agency of the union territory(PV no. 141/2023) viz State EOW Crime Branch Jammu, Me and my family will be approaching shortly to various forums available for lodging criminal proceedings/complaint against these imposters as the matter at present is in advance stage of conclusion and self-evident. Neither the complainants have possession on the said land nor have any Revenue document of the land in their name / no locus standi even and they are framing a communal and concocted story in the form of complaint against me to grab the said land purchased by my ancestors which is duly mutated in favour of Magarmal Sharma and Sain Dass in Revenue records in the year 1943-44 vide Mutation No. 139”, he told The News Now.
