Amarnath yatra: 2.38Lakh pilgrims registered in 20 days

Jammu: In the first 20 days of registration process, as many as 2.38 lakh pilgrims have registered for an annual Shri Amarnath Yatra starting from June 29, 2024.
Official sources said that as of now 2.38 lakh pilgrims have registered themselves for annual Shri Amarnath Yatra through offline and online mode in the advance registration process that started on April 15.
Commencing from June 29, the 52-day Yatra this year is concluding on August 19 (Rakshabandhan).
However, the first picture of Shri Amarnath 'Lingam' on Sunday also appeared on social media platforms.
Official sources added that Shri Amarnath Shrine Board (SASB) will also soon start online helicopter booking service to ease travel of pilgrims to the Cave Shrine.
Meanwhile work of arrangements and preparations is in full swing at Jammu based Yatri Niwas and other yatra establishments to provide hassle-free service and facilities to the pilgrims.
