‘Indications point strongly towards her getting LS ticket for Anantnag-Rajouri’

Jammu: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) got another big shot in arm as former Jammu and Kashmir Member of Legislative Council (MLC) Dr Shehnaz Ganai parted ways with the National Conference to embrace the saffron party.
Dr Shehnaz, who already is backed with a strong political manifestation in the UT possesses assertive political stature in Pir Panchal region representing her people in the area for a long time.
Dr Shehnaz’s joining is being seen as a strong indication about her getting the mandate to contest Anantnag-Rajouri Lok Sabha seat as BJP is eyeing Jammu and Udhampur Lok Sabha seats too.
In her joining statement Dr Shehnaz said ,” People of J&K are waiting to give a huge mandate to BJP in forthcoming Lok Sabha polls. BJP will get hat-trick in the upcoming LS polls,"
Presently sojourning in Delhi, Shehnaz Ganai joined the saffron brigade in presence of many important central leaders as she was accorded a warm welcome into the party-fold.BJP National General Secretary Tarun Chugh, Minister of State (PMO) Dr. Jitendra Singh, BJP National Spokesperson Syed Zafar Islam were present at party headquarters in New Delhi on her joining.
An outspoken and firebrand female leader , Dr Shehnaz Ganai, speaking from New Delhi fearlessly put her opinions, and assertively expressed her viewpoints advocating passionately for causes she believed in.
“Setbacks or failures doesn't deter me from pursuing my goals and fighting for what I believe in. Bharatiya Janata Party under the dynamic leadership of PM Narendra Modi has a clear vision for the future and the party is working tirelessly to bring about positive change. I feel humbled and obliged to be one of its strong soldier in this pursuit ,” she said
Dr Shehnaz said that she has been contemplating for a change in her political outlook as people in her constituency were anticipating more broader and emphatic representation from her .
“My political commitments with my people in Poonch have always been honoured on ground irrespective of any party I was with . For the past some time , I have been in constant engagement with my masses for a bigger role and effective discharge of my political duties to satiate the aspirations of the people,” said Shehnaz Ganai.
She added that the mass appeal of Bharatiya Janata Party on national and international level has convinced the people of the UT for it being the only party that can raise the standards and alleviate masses for better living.
“ Besides , the Modi government has proved beyond all doubts that it is BJP only that is the peoples’ party as national schemes related to holistic development of humanity are percolating at the grass root level. Various schemes and initiatives aimed at women's empowerment like Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao, PMMVY, Sukanya Samriddhi Yojana,Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana et.al have impacted the lives of women towards self-reliance,” said Shehnaz.
It is in place to mention that Dr Shehnaz recently had praised and held PM Narendra Modi in high esteem over the historic Scheduled Tribes amendment bill, saying this “landmark bill will pull the oppressed Paharis out of the clutches of the oppressors”.
“On behalf of the Pahari community of Jammu & Kashmir, I express my gratitude to every Honourable member of the @LokSabhaSectt, who voted in favour of the Constitution (Jammu & Kashmir) Scheduled Tribes Order (Amendment) Bill, 2023, granting scheduled tribes status to Paharis Ethnic Group,” she had said, in a statement.
