The time difference between Delhi and New York is 10-and-a-half-hours but some of the India matches will be scheduled to serve the Indian television audiences.

Only three venues will be used in the US and those are entral Broward Park in Florida, Grand Prairie Stadium in Texas and Eisenhower Park on Long Island, about 25 miles from downtown Manhattan.

Cricket is also making its way back into the Olympic fold after more than 120 years as it has been included in the Los Angeles 2028 Olympics.

Cricket’s path to the Olympics after a long exile is indelibly inked with IPL’s footsteps. The thrust provided by the league in the rise of the T20 format, followed by countries across continents, is seen as one of the reasons it was considered to be a part of the Olympics, which earlier couldn’t accommodate the 50-over format.

In 2017, after Los Angeles was awarded the Games, cricket was included in the initial shortlist of 14 sports that could be added to the programme on their recommendation.
