DSEK for monitoring academic activities in edu institutions

SRINAGAR: The Directorate of School Education Kashmir (DSEK) Monday ordered the inspection and monitoring of academic activities in educational institutions of Srinagar, Budgam and Ganderbal districts.
The decision was taken in order to know the factual position at ground zero of educational institutes.
“To streamline the academic atmosphere and working conditions of all the educational institutions and schools of Srinagar, Budgam, Ganderbal, the review of the facilities available in these educational Institutions has become imperative to know the factual position at ground zero”, reads the circular issued by Mohammad Rouf Rehman, Joint Director, Central Kashmir School Education, Department.
As such Chief Education Officers are requested to activate their Zonal Education Officers of 25 zones (Srinagar 8, Budgam 13, Ganderbal 4) and pass on these instructions forthwith to all the Educational Institutions of their respective Jurisdictions asking them to be fully geared up/equipped/prepared with the specific information on each and every following point with figures/data/status as on date, it added.
The information includes administrative inspections done so far, supervision of the school, coverage of syllabus as on date, facilities of toilets/drinking water available, classroom arrangements, availability of teaching staff, facilities of computer labs/Atal tinkering labs, health and hygiene/pollution/first aid availability, biometric attendance of teaching/non-teaching staff and playground facilities/sports activities.
“In the backdrop of above facts and circumstances, Chief Education Officers are advised to activate their ZEOs/HoDs of all Educational”, the circular reads.
“Institutions / Staff, and infuse blood and flesh into the frame of Education Department and make it vibrant, prompt effective and make the presence of Zonal Education Officers felt in their respective areas of Jurisdiction with all such corrective measures which need to be adopted to restore the pristine glory of Education Department which has always been a seat of revolution in the society, as a guarantor of peace, prosperity and development. Early action on the above facts will be highly appreciated”, the circular added.
