Eye on polls: BJP to hold state executive meet, Shakti Kendra Pramukh Sammelans

Jammu: Enthused by the final report of delimitation commission that proposed six additional assembly segments to Jammu region-the core vote base of BJP, the saffron party will use upcoming state executive meeting and Shakti Kendra Pramukh conventions to further strengthen the organization in the wake of ensuing assembly elections in Jammu and Kashmir.
Though the party holds state working committee meeting after every three months immediately after the National Working committee meeting which is going to be held in Rajasthan this month, but this time it assumes greater significance as it is happening after PM Modi’s visit to Samba which saw huge turnout indicating good prospects for the BJP in the upcoming polls.
In this regard BJP will be holding a two day state executive meeting in Katra on May 29 to formulate a strategy to reach out to the people on a large scale. The party has made preparations to intensify its activities from the second half of May. In such a situation, the action to be taken regarding elections at the booth level will also be discussed through Shakti Kendra chief conferences.
The BJP has made preparations for its Shakti Kendra conventions of the Jammu-Poonch parliamentary seat on May 15. At the same time, the Shakti Kendra conference for the Udhampur-Doda parliamentary seat is going to be held on May 22. After the power center conferences, the state executive meeting to be held on May 29 will also seek a report on the party activities being done keeping in mind the elections.
BJP is excited by the final report of the commission regarding delimitation of assembly seats in Jammu and Kashmir. In view of that, BJP will also decide in the state executive that how the party will go among the people with the issue of political justice with Jammu division.
BJP national general secretary and in-charge of Jammu and Kashmir Tarun Chugh will also participate in the meeting. According to party sources, intensifying the campaign to win the trust of the people by making the centrally sponsored schemes successful will also be an important issue of this meeting.
As per sources some senior leaders may also get the responsibilities for intensifying activities on the ground. BJP State President Ravinder Raina has said that BJP is strong on the ground at this time regarding assembly elections. The party, which is doing people-centric politics, is moving ahead with the goal of rejuvenating Jammu and Kashmir by forming a government with the cooperation of the people.
Raina said in such a situation, we will try our best to win the trust of the people on the ground by making them strong through central schemes. The proof that the people of Jammu and Kashmir have faith in the BJP became clear in the rally of Prime Minister Narendra Modi held a few days back in Samba district. BJP is living up to the expectations of the people.
BJP J&K general secretary Vibodh Gupta on Wednesday has expressed confidence that BJP will be able to win people's trust in the next assembly election in J&K as it is moving forward by taking up issues close to the people.
