MARCH 29: Union Home Minister Amit Shah said that Statehood will be reinstated to Jammu and Kashmir as promised before.
Amit Shah said Assembly Polls were held in Jammu and Kashmir with peace last year and will keep the promise of Statehood restoration as well.
While answering a question on Statehood restoration, Union Home Minister said, “Since beginning we have been giving assurances that the Statehood will be restored but the time will not be disclosed now.”
At the time of Nullification of Article 370, Shah has said in Parliament that Statehood would be reinstated at appropriate time. This was first election in Kashmir after 40 years wherein no violence happened and 60 percent people cast ballot said Shah.
