17 Feb: The 5th edition of the Khelo India Winter Games (KIWG), scheduled to be held between 22 to 25 February has been postponed due to insufficient snow in Gulmarg of Baramulla district.
As per the sources, the fresh assessment will be conducted after the requisite improvement in snow conditions and updated schedule will be announced respectively.
It is learnt that insufficient snow will affect Skiing and Snowboarding sports. But the organisers have still kept their fingers crossed as to the improved weather conditions which could result in conduction of Sports event.
Pertinent to mention that the first leg of Khelo India Winter Games (KIWG) was held in Ladakh in January 2025. Besides, the magnificent event featured sports like Ice Hockey and Ice Skating.
