Jammu October 21: The Jammu and Kashmir Board of School Education (JKBOSE) has directed examination centre superintendents to ensure that supervisory staff do not keep mobile phones with them during examination hours.
According to a circular issued on October 21, 2026, all supervisory staff must deposit their mobile phones with the respective centre superintendents before beginning their examination duties.
The circular makes centre superintendents responsible for ensuring that these instructions are strictly followed.
However, centre superintendents have been exempted from the restriction and are allowed to keep their mobile phones to maintain communication with JKBOSE divisional, sub and branch offices, as well as their respective departmental authorities.
The Board has also instructed that candidates must not be allowed to leave the examination centre with their question papers until at least half of the examination duration has passed.
The directions aim to ensure proper supervision, maintain discipline and regulate the conduct of examinations at examination centres.
