NOV 13: Rajya Sabha MP and Jammu & Kashmir BJP President Sat Sharma (CA) released a poem based on ‘Vande Mataram’ composed by party spokesperson Balbir Ram Rattan.
On this occasion, Ashok Koul, General Secretary (organisation), Priya Sethi (State Vice President and In-charge of the Vande Mataram programmes), General Secretaries Sanjita Dogra and Gopal Mahajan were also present.

After the release, Sat Sharma (CA) said that this year marks the 150th anniversary of our national song ‘Vande Mataram’, and through various programmes, citizens are being reminded how the song united people before Independence and inspired them to take an oath to fight against British rule.

He added that before Independence, ‘Vande Mataram’ was not just a collection of words—it was a symbol of our devotion, respect, and affection for the motherland, and it will always remain so. He urged everyone to stay conscious of their duties and social responsibilities and to contribute to the progress and pride of the nation.

Praising Balbir Ram Rattan’s poem, Sharma said that it would strengthen patriotic feelings among the youth and remind us of our duties and love towards the nation. The poem beautifully reflects deep patriotism as well as our cultural and historical values. It also aims to inspire the younger generation to always be ready to serve the motherland.

On this occasion, Priya Sethi said that such writings help today’s generation understand the struggles and sacrifices made for India’s freedom, and that we must draw inspiration from them and take a pledge to protect Mother India.

Ashok Koul remarked that the song ‘Vande Mataram’ played a crucial role in the Indian freedom struggle, and now, as we live as free citizens, such poems help spread national consciousness and patriotic spirit.
