SEPT 20: Rajinder Jamwal, senior BJP leader and Advocate at Jammu and Kashmir High Court, highlighted the importance of following the teachings of Guru Ravidass. He said that these teachings are very relevant even in today’s world, especially for the youth. He urged young people to learn and live by the values of equality, unity, and social harmony, which great Indian saints like Guru Ravidass stood for.
Jamwal was seeking details on the important message and teachings of Guru Ravidass from Balbir Ram Rattan, a devoted follower of Guruji. He praised Guruji as a great spiritual leader and reformer who fought against social evils like caste discrimination and untouchability. According to Jamwal, Guru Ravidass wanted to create a society where everyone is treated equally and fairly. He believed in liberty, equality, fraternity, and justice — the same values that are written in the Indian Constitution.
One of the key messages of Guru Ravidass Ji was about “Begampura” — a place without sorrow. Jamwal explained that this idea was not only about spiritual happiness but also about creating a better and fairer society for all. It was a dream of a world where there is no pain, no discrimination, and everyone lives in peace and harmony.
Jamwal said that the teachings of Guru Ravidass Ji are still very important today because many people still face injustice and inequality. He promised to keep working for the upliftment of weaker and marginalized sections of society.
He also said that the central government, under Prime Minister Narendra Modi, has taken steps to honour saints like Guru Ravidass. These steps include supporting cultural, educational, and infrastructure projects that keep their memory alive and spread their messages.
Jamwal emphasized that the youth should learn about the lives of great saints and spiritual leaders. He said that Guru Ravidass taught us to work hard, be devoted, and treat everyone equally. These values can help in building a strong, just, and progressive India.
Rajinder Jamwal said that by following Guru Ravidass Ji’s teachings, we can create a better society where everyone lives with respect and dignity.
