SEPT 16: National Conference leader and MP Srinagar Aga Syed Ruhullah Mehdi on Tuesday said Centre is trying to fracture Kashmir’s horticulture economy by showing apathy towards the restoration of Jammu-Srinagar National Highway.
MP Aga Ruhullah said, “Importing fruits at low rates from outside and sometimes blocking the NH-44, Centre is trying to fracture Horticulture economy of Kashmir Valley which in conjunction with allied agriculture amounts to 75 percent of GDP.”
“Traffic from Jammu were allowed to ply but trucks from Kashmir were left stranded on NH-44, it is because we have been marginalized along with our rights,” MP Ruhullah pointed out.
He added that earlier also our trucks were asked to stop with a conspiracy that products from Kashmir get decayed.
“Since, Mughal Road has been thrown open for the vehiclular movemrent, hope Jammu-Sriangar NHW also restores soon,” said MP Ruhullah said.
